Google has added a new layer of security for the 2-step verification process to Google accounts called Google Prompt. And it will be the main authentication feature that users will use to verify their accounts.  The search engine giant first released this new feature  last July, inviting users to try it out instead of the 2-step verification code process.  Previously, the two-step verification code was the main authentication option. It worked well in providing a layer of security above and beyond that of a password, but it has always been a bit complicating, as it involves typing a six-digit code received via SMS. Very few mobile manufacturers outside of Google’s own lineup have been able to offer the new Oreo for their latest Android flagship. And Nokia 8 is the latest to join the few mobile devices that have already received a beta version of the latest version. Though the beta shouldn’t be used by regular users unless they really want to experience the latest and greatest, including all the bugs and crashes present in any beta build, this one should be generally stable enough for every day use since it was released to the public. The company responsible for the revival of the Nokia brand, HMD Global, have announced that the colourful candybar Nokia 3310 classic mobile will be getting a 3G version. Unlike the previously slower 2G version, this device will be able to support a handful of popular apps including Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp and Skype. However, HMD says that enabling 3G will lead to some major adjustments to the handset itself. For example, the size of the phone will be slightly beefed up and the overall device will be redesigned to enable more spacing between the buttons to make the typing experience more comfortable. Battery life too would considerably reduced with only up to 6 hours of talk time as against the 22 hours of the 2G version.
