Google have now released their parental control feature, Family Link, to the public. Previously, this Play Store's feature is only available by invite but now everyone can have access to it.

Family Link is a useful tool that helps parents to monitor their kids’ digital lives. With this handy tool, parents can set digital ground rules to enable them keep an eye on their kids’ device activity and the time spent on specific apps. They can even remotely lock their kids' devices when they want them to finish their homework or chores, or get them to sleep during bedtimes.
The tool also enables parent to create and manage their kids accounts since Google accounts are only meant for those age 13 and up.
Really, Family Link is a useful tool that gives parents greater control over their kids’ devices.

Manage apps kids wants to use. With Family Link, parents can manage the apps their kids wants to download from Google Play Store. It gives parents the right to either approve any apps if they feel its ok for their kids or block the apps if they think is harmful to their kids well-being.

Set kids' device schedule. One good thing about Family Link that parents love is that they can remotely lock their kid’s device to get them to do their chores, or when it's time for them to play, study or sleep.
Devices that are compatible with Family Link
For adults: Family Link runs on any Android device running KitKat (4.4) or iOS 9 and higher.
For kids: Family Link can run on all Android devices running 7.0 Nougat and higher, along with a select few devices running Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
