My Airtel is similar to MyMTN app. It is a self care app that enables users to recharge their phones online, activate data plans, remotely load airtime for loved ones, check airtime balances, transfer or borrow money from banks, pay bills and much more.
The steps you need to follow are very easy to perform. In fact, you don't need to create any special settings or perform some complicated tasks. All you need is just the requirements below.
Requirements
- An Android smartphone.
- An Airtel Sim card with or without airtime.
- My Airtel self care application.
- Ability to understand what you read.
How to Activate Airtel 1GB Free with the Airtel Self Care application
1. Download Airtel Self Care Here from Play store.
2. After downloading the Airtel app, launch it.
3. Next sign in by entering your Airtel number on the blank box and then request for OTP to verify your account.
4. Now wait for a few moments to receive the OTP code that will be sent to your number.
5. Immediately after getting the OTP, you can then in to your account.
6. After you have logged into your account, close the self care application and wait for a few minutes for your one time free 1GB data from Airtel.
You can now browse, stream and download as much as you want. The validity period is 7 days. If you exhaust your data, you can get another one by going to Settings >> Apps >> My Airtel >> Clear Data Cache.
When done that, insert another Airtel sim that has not been used for the application before and follow the same process you first use to access the Airtel app. You should be able to get another 1GB free data.
