Have you ever sent a message via Facebook Messenger that you later regretted? Maybe it was meant for someone else or it contained an embarrassing thought or typos. Well, you can now undo such errors errors whenever you are using Facebook Messenger.
Facebook launched a new feature that enables people to unsend messages from their Messenger chat. With this feature, users can delete their Facebook Messages permanently so that their recipients do not view it, but they have only up to 10 minutes to do that after sending.
To unsend a message, you just have to tap on the message and the "Remove for you" will appear where the delete button used to be. Tap on that and the message will be removed for you as well as everyone else you sent it to. There’s also a “Remove for everyone” option that pulls a message from all recipients’ chats.
You need to take note that when you unsend a message, recipients will see a text alerting them that you removed a message in its place.
Even though you can't get rid of the evidence that you sent and removed a message, the new feature is pretty cool as it can sometimes be hard to keep up with the many chat threads going on while trying to make sure that you are saying and typing the right words in the right thread. So with Facebook Messenger new feature, you can be more comfortable in having honest conversations without worrying about sending an embarrassing message that can cause wrong signals in others.
