MTN is no doubt Nigeria's biggest telecom network and the one with the most widest coverage in the country - “Everywhere You Go”. You probably then would want to know more about their data plans.
In this post, I'll be sharing with you all of MTN data plans for December 2018 that works for all Android devices. The plans can also work on other devices, such as laptops, modems, Apple iOS devices (iPhone and ipads) and even PSP consoles.
Daily Plans
These are plans are for those who just want to get things done immediately and move on. It last just 24 hours so it isn’t meant for heavy internet users.
• 50MB + (25MB Bonus Data) for N100 – Valid for 24 Hrs – Dial *104# or Text "104" to 131
Note: (*bonus data) will be available for use only at night from 1:00am – 7.00am On MTN DEAL ZONE.
• 150MB + (75MB Bonus Data) for N200 – Valid for 24 Hrs – Dial *113# or Text "113" to 131
Note: (*bonus data) will be available for use only at night from 1:00am – 7.00am On MTN DEAL ZONE.
Weekly Plans
The weekly plan last for 7 days and it’s meant for those who may not be able to afford to pay for a month or who just need to do something online within the week.
• 150MB for N300 - Valid for 7 Days - Dial *102# or Text "102" to 131
• 500MB + (*250MB Bonus) for N500 – Valid for 7 Days and – Dial *103# or Text "103" to 131
Note: (*bonus data) will be available for use only at night from 1:00am – 7.00am On MTN DEAL ZONE.
• 500MB + N500 Talktime for N500 on ExtraValue
• 1GB + N1,000 Talktime for N1,000 on ExtraValue
Monthly Plans
These are the definitely the most important plans around and probably the first plan many heavy users will be checking out. They last for 30 days.
• 1GB + (*500MB Bonus Data) for N1,000 – Valid for 30 Days – Dial *106# or Text "106" to 131

• 1.5GB for N1,200 – Valid for 30 Days – Dial *130# or Text "130" to 131
• 2.5GB + (*1GB Bonus Data) for N2,000 – Valid for 30 Days – Dial *110# or Text "110" to 131

• 2.5GB + N2,500 Talktime for N2,000
• 5GB for N3,500 - Valid for 30 Days - Dial *107# or Text "107" to 131
• 10GB for N5,000 – Valid for 30 Days – Dial *116# or Text "116" to 131
• 22GB for N10,000 – Valid 30 Days – Dial *117# or Text "117" to 131
2-Month (60 Days) Plan
If you don't like to be prompted to renew your plan when your 30 day usage expires, then this is the plan you need to go for, provided you should be ready to shell out N20,000. The plan lasts 60 days.
• 50GB for N20,000 – Valid for 60 Days – Dial *118# or Text "118" to 131
3-Month (Quarterly) Plan
This is the granddaddy of them all. With N50,000, you can get a staggering 85GB worth of data for 3 months, uninterrupted.
• 85GB for N50,000 – Valid for 90 Days - Dial *133# or Text “133” to 131
Night Plan
If you are a nightcrawler like me then this plan is definitely for you. MTN, however, recently made a major adjustment to this plan which would significantly affect how the plan is used. Moreover, you can buy more than one plan on the same night. And it's valid from 12am - 5am.
• 250MB for N25 – Valid for One Night (12.00am – 5.00am) – Dial *406# and follow the prompt or Text “NT1” to 131 (only for MTN Pulse users)
• 500MB for N50 – Valid for One Night (12.00am – 5.00am) – Dial *406# and follow the prompt or Text “NT2” to 131 (only for MTN Pulse users)
Instabinge Plans
Get more fun time on Instagram, sharing videos and photos with your friends and family.
• 250MB for N100 - Valid for 1 day - Dial *406# and follow the prompt.
• 1GB for N200 - Valid for 1 day - Dial *406# and follow the prompt.
Goodybag Social
This plan only works for social media apps such as Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, Instagram etc. They are grouped under daily, weekly and monthly plans.

This is a time-based package, meaning that you get to use it based on how much time you use when you choose one of the 2 available plans to subscribe to.
• 1 hour for N150 - Valid for 24hrs - Text VP1 to 131 to subscribe
• 3 hours for N400 - Valid for 3hrs - Text VP3 to 131 to subscribe.
How to check your balance
To check your data balance for any of the plans, simply text STATUS to 131 or Dial *131*4#
APN settings configuration
It is important that your mobile device have an APN settings configured correctly otherwise it won't be able to access the web. So go to your phone settings and manually configure it by using one or two the settings below based on the type of device you have.
WEB settings for smartphones (Android/iOS)

WAP settings for WAP/feature phones
