Glo Nigeria network never cease to amaze with the way they churn out free data to their customers. The self-tagged grandmaster of data recently released their latest exploit called GLO YAKATA.
What is Glo Yakata?
Yakata is Glo's new prepaid plan that brings loads of amazing voice and data benefits for Glo subscribers every time they they activate their lines.
Glo customers who subscribe to the plan gets up to 6GB data every month for 6 months plus a whooping N2,200 (that's 22 times value) on every N100 recharge to call all networks.
All new SIMs are by default on Glo Yakata. So if you buy a Glo SIM today, you can enjoy up to 6GB data every month for 6 months (that’s 36GB of data) along with the N2,200 on every N100 recharge to call all networks.

When you activate Glo Yakata, you will enjoy the following benefits:

How to subscribe
All new Glo prepaid customers will get Yakata once they recharge their lines. Existing customers need to dial *220# to subscribe.
As soon as you recharge and receive a confirmation message of your voice and data benefits, you can making calls and using the data to browse the web. In the unlikely event that a confirmation message is not received, then dial *220*1# to view your Yakata bonus.

To dumb it down, when you recharge N100 on Glo Yakata, you get N100 in your main account along with N350 bonus for voice calls and SMS and N1,750 worth of bonus data, all totaling N2,200. You will also receive 50MB free data on your first recharge of the month as well as subsequent recharges in the month.
To check your bonus account, dial *220*1#. All bonuses will expire after 7 days.
However, if you have an existing data plan before recharging, the Yakata bonus data will be added to your existing data volume and will continue with the validity period of the plan you are using even if it is more than 7 days. For example, if you have an existing data plan of 2GB with 30 days validity and you recharge with N200, you will receive 250MB bonus and your new data balance will be 2.25GB with 30 days validity.
If you exhaust your Yakata Voice Bonus, your calls will be charged from your main account until your next recharge.
Be aware that any unused bonus cannot be carried over unless another recharge is made within the 7 days bonus validity period. So you must use up all your bonuses before end of the validity period.
You cannot, however, use the bonus to subscribe to any other value added services, nor can you use it to make international calls. All international calls will be charged from main account. Also remember that Yakata is not shareable or transferrable.
