YouTube Rolls Out Dark Mode Theme on Android Devices


Late last year, YouTube added a dark mode theme to its desktop site, and the company claims that it became one of the most requested features for its mobile apps. So in March, YouTube announced that a dark mode theme will also be coming to its mobile apps, starting with its iOS version. Now, the new feature is finally being rolled out on Android.

Android users who got the new YouTube update received pop-up notification informing them that the dark mode can be turned on and off in the app’s settings.

To find that option, tap on the menu icon in the top right corner, select Settings, choose General and locate the Dark Theme item near the top of the menu.

With the arrival of this theme on Android, YouTube can be classed in the same level with other apps having dark themes.
