How to Easily View Photos on Facebook Free Basics (Free Mode)

Since last year when it first got started in Nigeria and other developing countries, Free Basics has proven to be a life saver for many people who are broke or who may be out of data or airtime.

For those who haven't heard of Freebasics, this is the process whereby you can access various websites for free, even without airtime/data credit. Currently, Airtel and 9mobile are the only ones in Nigeria that support Freebasics.

This post will be sharing with you a new trick on how you can easily view pictures on Facebook free mode with Free Basics.

The Facebook Free Basics is probably the most popular since you can easily gain access to your account without any active data or charges. With Facebook Freebasics, you are able update your status and engage in your regular chat with your family and friends for free.
Unfortunately, on default, you can't view the pictures on your wall (only the profile pictures), nor will you be able to watch videos like the standard Facebook.

Happily a trick has been discovered on how to see the photos on Facebook. But there's still no way to watch videos on it.

Requirements
>>Android smartphone or tablet
>>Airtel or 9Mobile SIM card with zero airtime and data
>>Facebook Lite app on your Android
>>Good 3G or 4G connection

How to view photos on Facebook Free Basics (free mode)

1. Turn on your mobile data (Airtel or 9Mobile).

2. Open the Facebook lite app. This is a lightweight version of the original Facebook app. It is loads faster, saves battery and data, and works well in areas with poor network reception unlike the conventional Facebook.

3. Next login your email/phone number and password. You will automatically be taken to free mode.

4. Use the app for a minute and then close it and turn off your mobile data.

5. Head to your phone Settings and look for App.

6. Scroll down to Facebook Lite and tap it.

7. Now clear the data of the Facebook lite by tapping on Clear data.

8. Now go back and switch on your mobile data and login again on Facebook Lite.

9. At first the Facebook won’t load when trying to log in. That's OK, simply close the app and open it again. This time it will load.

You'll be taken to data mode where you will be able to view all the pictures without data and airtime.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to watch videos, but at least, you can view and comment on your friends pictures.
