It might seem to you but some people still find it hard manually configure their phone mobile network settings. It's for their benefit that this article has been prepared. This is because you would not be able to gain access to the internet if your APN settings are not configured correctly on the network of your choice.
About APN
APN simply means Access Point Name. The APN Settings is your gateway into the web on the Network you are using. If your your mobile phones and tablets or other data enabled devices has no APN settings or incorrect APN settings, you would be unable to access the web.
Usually, once you insert a SIM, the settings are automatically configured. However, a need to configure manually may rise. This varies from device to device. So just in case you encounter such a situation, you might need to consider from among the various networks settings below and input them on your device for easy configuration.
However, before you begin head over to your phone's Settings and look for Mobile networks. Tap it and select the network you want to configure. Tap on Access Points Names and edit the APN settings using the info below.
MTN official APN Settings
>>Name: MTN NG
>>APN: web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net
>>Username: web
>>Password: web
Save the configuration settings.
For auto-configuration:
Send SETTINGS to 3888
Glo's official APN setting
>>Name: glo
>>APN: gloflat
>>Username: flat
>>Password: flat
Or
>>APN; glosecure
>>Username: gprs
>>Password: gprs
Save the configuration settings.
Airtel official setting
>>Name: Airtel NG
>>APN: internet.ng.airtel.com
>>Username: internet
>>Password: internet
Save the configuration settings.
For auto-configuration:
Send Internet followed by phone make and model to 232 via SMS.
9Mobile official APN Settings
>>Name: 9Mobile
>>APN: 9mobile
>>Username: (blank)
>>Password: (blank)
Save the configuration settings.
For auto-configuration:
Send SETTINGS to 229 via SMS.
Ntel official APN Settings
Name: Ntel
APN: ntel
Username: ntel
Password: ntel
Or
APN: ntel
Username: (blank)
Password: (blank)
Save the configuration settings.
