How to Easily Restore WhatsApp Backup Data on your Android Device



For almost everyone, young and old, WhatsApp is their favorite messaging tool for communicating with their friends and family. Below are the steps you need to take to restore the WhatsApp data.

Step 1:
First, download and install the latest version of WhatsApp Messenger. If WhatsApp is already in the new phone, delete it and install a fresh one.

Step 2:
After the installation, grant WhatsApp permission to access your phone's contacts, photos, media and files.

Step 3:
Enter your phone number to verify it and a 6-digit verification code will be sent to you via SMS on your phone.

Step 4:
After your phone number is automatically verified, a screen with Restore backup will appear saying that a backup has been found. Tap on Restore. This will restore your messages and media from Google Drive.

NOTE: Be sure you are signed-in to the Google account to which you had backed up your data to.

Step 5:
Tap on Next.

Step 6:
Input your name in the Profile info window that comes up. The app will begin the initialization process. When this is complete, then the restoration is done. You will be taken to the WhatsApp chat screen where you can view all your entire messages and media.
