How to Easily Backup WhatsApp Data on your Android Device

Step 1:
Go to WhatsApp and tap on the three vertical dots icon at the top right corner of the screen, near the search option, and select Settings.

Step 2:
In the Settings, tap on Chats and then select Chat backup. Here, you will be allowed to backup your chat on Google Drive. But first you need to edit the Google Drive settings according to your needs.

Step 3:
Tap on the Backup to Google Drive. Here you choose whether you want to backup Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Only when I tap ‘Back up’ or even Never to backup. For example, if you want to backup monthly, then select the Monthly option.

Step 4:
Tap on Account to choose the Google email account you wish to backup your chat to.

Step 5:
Tap on Back up over to choose your preferred mode for backup: Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi or Cellular.

Step 6:
Tap on Include videos (optional) if you want to backup the videos shared over WhatsApp.

Step 7:
If you are done editing your Google Drive settings, tap on BACK UP in the green icon and your entire messages will begin the back up process over your chosen Google Drive account.

NOTE: You need to be connected to the internet when backing up your messages and media.
