Although, Google latest mobile operating system, Android P, hasn't been officially launch until later this year, you can still get a preview of what it will be like with the newly updated Action Launcher.
Action Launcher is a popular launching app developer by Chris Lacy, and its new version 35 comes with new looks and a number features that are inspired by the upcoming Android P.
The software copies the upcoming Android's home screen search bar and dock—including its rounded corners and transparent shading. The app folders also get the same rounded-edge treatment.
In addition, there is an option to keep any apps that are already on your home screen from showing up in the apps drawer, which should make it easier for you to manage your apps and avoid clutter. You can also keep multiple apps in different folders at once, which is another huge time-saver.
Here are some of the highlights of Action Launcher 35 from its official blog post:
> A full support for Android P launcher elements, including the tinted dock and transparent dock search box,
> Folders in the All Apps drawer, which also features a new look for the search box and multiple optimizations, a new "Show desktop shortcuts" option
> An Android P-style rounded look for the folder icons
> Add multiple apps to a folder at once
All of these may sound like small changes, but they’ll give your smartphone a fresh new look while you wait for the official release of Android P. Besides, the overall performance of the app has been improved, and a number of bugs and stability problems have been solved.
Of course, you can also get a preview of Android P by checking out Google’s latest developer preview on the Android official website. But if you are not happy with the Action Launcher's new looks, you can still go back and use the old versions.
You can grab Action Launcher here from Google Play, which is compatible with any Android device running Android 5.0 Lollipop or later. The app is 13 MB in size, it is free, and contains ads and various in-app purchases.
