Facebook Freebascis have been around since last year. And it has proven to be a life saver for many people who are broke or who may be out of data and save not be able to recharge their phone.

For those who haven't heard of Facebook Freebasics, this is the process whereby people are able to access their Facebook accounts through the Facebook free mode without any active data or charges.

Currently, Airtel and 9mobile are the only ones in Nigeria that support Facebook Freebasics.

With Facebook Freebasics, you are able update your status and engage in your regular chat with your family and friends for free.

However, you will not be able to see the pictures (only profile pictures) nor will you be able to watch videos like the standard Facebook

How to See Pictures on Facebook Freebasics

Requirements:
*An Android smartphone or tablet
*Airtel or 9mobile SIM card without airtime or active data plan
*A Facebook Lite App
*A decent 3G or 4G or LTE

Method 1
1. Download and install Facebook lite from Google Play Store. Facebook lite app is data friendly, loads faster, saves battery and data, and works well in areas with poor network reception unlike the conventional Facebook app.

Note: If you can't download Facebook lite because you are out of data, you can ask someone to transfer the app to your phone via WiFi.

2. Switch off your Data and head over to your phonee Settings.

3. Tap Apps.

4. Scroll down to Facebook lite and tap it.

5. Now clear the data of the Facebook lite.

6. Go back and turn on your data.

7. Now open the Facebook lite app and enter your login details. You will automatically be taken to free mode.

8. When you have gotten to your Facebook page, tap on "See Photos" at the top right corner.

9. Keep on tapping "Yes" to any questions you are asked.

10. The Facebook will go into data mode now. When that happens, close the app and then reopen it again. Now pictures will start displaying on Facebook.

Method 2
1. Open Facebook lite app and Login to your account.

2. Once you are logged in, you will automatically be on free mode.

3. Open the Facebook lite settings and set the Image Quality to Medium.

4. Tap on the font size option and adjust it from Medium to Small font size.

5. Go back to your news feed and tap refresh. You will start seeing pictures.
