Android Oreo Finally Hit 1% On The Distribution Chart


Like Nougat before it, Android Oreo has basically taken half a year to make it to 1% mark on the number of devices running it.

Last month, Oreo was just 0.7% in the distribution chart, now it is at 1.1%.

In the same chart, Nougat is shown to have passed Marshmallow to become the most widely used Android version.

Below are the changes that have been made in the Android distribution chart since the last update.

Android 8.0/8.1 Oreo - 1.1 percent (up from 0.7)

Android 7.0/7.1 Nougat - 28.5 percent (up from 26.3%)

Android 6.0 Marshmallow - 28.1 percent (down from 28.6%)

Android 5.0/5.1 Lollipop - 24.6 percent (down from 25.1%)

Android 4.4 KitKat - 12.0 percent (down from 12.8%)

Android 4.1/4.2/4.3 Jelly Bean - 5.0 percent (down from 5.3%)

Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich - 0.4 percent

Android 2.3 Gingerbread - 0.3 percent

Since it took more than a year for Nougat to get the crown, we can expect that the latest version of Android will be no different.
