Razer To Launch Their Gaming Phones On November 17


After Razer-ing through the gaming world of PC and console, Razer is now turning its attention to mobile phones.

Come November 17, the game creators will be launching their own mobile phone that will mostly focus on mobile gaming.

The new Razer handset is expected to feature a 5.72-inch QHD (1440 x 2560) LCD display with a wide color gamut, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip, 8 gigabytes of RAM and the world’s first 120 Hz “UltraMotion” display.

The Razer Phone comes with two, big front-facing speakers which have been tuned to Dolby Atmos standards for excellent audio performance, and it’s also the world’s first phone to be certified by THX.

The Razer Phone comes with a big 4,000mAh battery with which you can watch up to 12.5 hours of video on single charge, or 63.5 hours of music playback, or 7 hours of Hearthstone.

The Razer Phone comes with Game Booster, which optimizes the phonefor game play. You can choose to up performance, turn off notifications and fine tune game play on a game by game basis. Clearly the phone is built for gaming!

Among the games to expect to enjoy on the new handset are Tencent’s upcoming Arena of Valor, Kings of Glory, Netmarble’s massively multiplayer Lineage 2: Revolution, Madfinger shooter Shadowgun Legends, and Square Enix's Final Fantasy XV.

The 8mm-thin rectangle will come loaded with Android Nougat, ready to upgrade to Android Oreo when the spring rolls around. It also comes preloaded with the Nova Launcher Prime.

While it certainly looks like it’s capable of gaming, how it handles phone calls is still an unknown factor.
