Apps Will Be Able To Launch Google Assistant On Android 8.0 Oreo

Good news for all those who uses Google Assistant on a daily basis. Apps will lbe able to launch Google Assistant on Android 8.0 Oreo.

Before now Google Assistant cannot be runned on third-party apps. But Android Developers website, XDA Developers, found a way in which developers can open and run Google Assistant within their apps without the need for a user to leave the apps. Not only would this keep people within apps, but allows developers to harness Google Assistant’s capabilities.

You would be able to set other virtual assistants as the default. This means you could use Google’s Assistant to integrate the likes of Microsoft’s Cortana and Amazon’s Alexa into their apps.

However there are certain requirements needed to be able to run Google Assistant within apps. The most important of these is that your device must be running on Android O. Furthermore, the app you want to use must support Oreo.

Still this is good news for those who have been hoping to have the Assistant integrated wlith their favorite apps.
