Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has the best screen display ever according to research firm DisplayMate.
A few months ago, this same firm released a similar report in which it declared the Samsung Galaxy S8 as having the best display ever made for a smartphone. Now, it is recognizing the new Galaxy Note 8 display as surpassing the one on the Galaxy S8 in its testing. Moreover, this is the Galaxy Note first ever A+ for a smartphone.
This ratings shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone who have been following the ranking trends since almost every time a Samsung device is released we see similar headlines as they truly confirm how unique Samsung devices are. And don't forget that Samsung are also the makers of digital products, such as, TVs, video players, cameras etc.
Though the result of each tests from researchers may differ, each one of the devices is always found to be an improvement upon the last one.
Among the innovative features highlighted on the Note 8’s 6.3-inch display is its brightness level which can be set up to 22 percent higher than that on the Galaxy S8, a record high peak display brightness of over 1,200 nits.
The report also notes that the Note 8’s maximum screen brightness can go much higher when the phone’s Automatic Brightness feature is turned on. This should allow owners to have the best brightness levels in any setting and location, which should also help the phone’s overall battery life.
In addition to the higher brightness levels, DisplayMate also notes that the Note 8 has a larger native color gamut with a new high saturation compared to the Galaxy S8, for better colors when the phone is in a high ambient light setting.
Below is the list of test that DisplayMate said the Galaxy Note 8 matched or set new smartphone display records for:
>>Highest Peak Display Brightness (1,240 nits).
>>Largest Native Color Gamut (112% DCI-P3 and 141% sRGB / Rec.709).
>>Highest Contrast Rating in Ambient Light (270).
>>Highest Screen Resolution (2960×1440).
>>Highest Contrast Ratio (Infinite).
>>Lowest Screen Reflectance (4.6 percent).
