Rooting with KingoRoot is pretty easy and straightforward.
Android users can root their Android with both KingoRoot Android (PC Version) and KingoRoot (APK Version).
You'll find the download for both methods at the Kingo Root page — just select the one you want to use.
Kingo strongly suggests that you try KingoRoot (APK version) first before trying the Android (PC version).
Although the KingoRoot APK is more convenient and easier, the successful rate to root devices with it is lower than KingoRoot Android (PC version).
If you fail to root your Android device with APK version, the PC version is highly recommended.
Steps to Rooting Android with KingoRoot APK
Before you begin the rooting process, first check to see if your device is compatible with Kingo by checking the official list.
Step 1:
Download and install the KingoRoot APK to your android device. The download will be automatically started to your Android.
Step 2:
Charge your phone up to 50% and make sure the network you are using is stable before rooting with KingoRoot otherwise, Kingo apk will fail to root your device.
Step 3:
Open the APK and tap on "One Click Root" to use the Kingo APK.
Step 4:
Result: success or fail. If the rooting is successful, you will see a large check mark.
You may want to try it several times because KingoRoot.apk will only download one script at a time. Running different scripts may deliver different results.
After doing all above, if the KingoRoot APK still failed to root your Android devices, try the KingoRoot Android (PC Version), which has a much higher success rate. Below are the steps to take.
Rooting Android with KingoRoot PC version
Step 1:
Download and install the the KingoRoot software on your computer.
Note: If you're using a windows computer with Kingo Root, you'll need to have the correct USB drivers installed on the computer you're using. If you don't have these, the Kingo Root program will try to locate and install the correct ones during the process.
Step 2:
Plug your phone into the computer via USB but make sure to enable USB debugging mode on your phone.
Step 2:
Next launch the KingoRoot application. It's as simple as letting the software set things up.
Kingo Root should detect your device automatically and prompt you to root it.
Step 3:
Click on the button labeled "root" in the software. You'll need to wait a few minutes for Kingo to grant you the superuser privileges.
Step 4:
You'll see a list of recommended root application to install after the procedure is finished, but if the program say it was successful your phone should have the superuser unlocked.
