A new month will soon be arriving and many of you probably have plans that could require using the net do some shopping, socialize with friends and family, play games or download and watch your favorite videos.

But with Glo slashing the data volumes to use by half and MTN hiking their social bundle prices, you’ll probably be worried about the amount of money you need to spend while surfing the Internet.

Now what if I tell you that you can use the web for free without efforts?

Okay, I know some will be wondering if this will require tweaking the phone imei or inputting some codes which can be somewhat complicating.

Well, the good news is that you don’t need to do any of those stuffs.

There is a useful VPN app called Tweakware version 6.4 that can make browsing the web super easy. All you need to do is just download and install the app on your Android phone  and then tap a button and you'll be online in no time.

Step 1

Download and install tweakware app from Google Play Store to your Android phone.

Step 2

After installation, open the app. You'll be presented with a homepage where you'll see a shield logo, two scroll bars and a green connection bar. Leave the top bar on free server, but tap on the bar beneath it and a scroll down list of mobile network will appear.

Step 3

Select the mobile connection you intend to use (Glo or Etisalat are the only network providers available).

Note: Your sim card must be empty (0.0).

Step 4

Turn on your mobile data or wifi connection.

Step 5

Back to your tweakware app, tap on the connect button at the bottom of the screen. A black box will come up asking you if you trust this app. Checkmark on it to show that you do and tap on ok.

The app will automatically start trying connect. When it eventually finds connection, the logo shield will turn yellow and connect button will switch to disconnect.

Now you can now surf the web freely and download anything you like.

Note: If the app fails to connect, it may be due to poor signal. You need to turn off and back on the WiFi or data network and then tap the Tweakware connect button again. Do the same thing whenever the app disconnect while online.

Tip: The app works best early in the morning from about 1am to 7am. That's the time I prefer doing heavier downloads.
