Here are the nominees for Google Play Awards 2017.

In a matter of weeks, the Google Play Awards 2017 will be holding. The event, which was first held last year, will be held at the Google I/O 2017 conference. The nominees for the best Android apps have already being announced. The Android community is sure to be excited as they would want to see which of their favorite apps will win big at the awards.

The awards is one grand way Google recognizes developers and to showcase their innovations. For the contenders, this is the best thing to have ever happened to them. Whether they win or lose, their apps or games would have gained more exposure and will likely bring more downloads.

The nominees cut across various countries including China, South Korea, Brazil, Russia, France, Vietnam, and Uraguay. This shows how widely popular Google Play is around the world.

Selecting the best apps out of Google store’s vastly extensive list will be a real tough task. But Google have managed to achieve it. At least for us who love Android apps it will serve as a recommendation for us when looking for good apps to download.

This year’s award will have 12 categories including two new ones – Best VR/AR Experience, Best Multiplayer Game, Best Social Impact, and Best Accessibility Experience.

The Android maker, Google, made selection based on the app’s technical performance, high star rating, and freshness (It has to have being launched or significantly updated since April 2016).
